Using my boyfriend's old Fuji camera

Gonna try my hand at photography. I’ve been taking pictures to accompany my blog but I’ve never really tried to be a “photographer”. I was recently given the tools and I’m ready to try this thang out. Any photographers out there have any tips for me? I’m open to anything.
