° | - Be Captivated

I decided to take a walk in the Blizzard of ‘17 to awaken some creativity that had been tucked away. I’d been cooped up in the house all day watching movies and I just needed the fresh air. My little adventure led me to a path near my house that I never ventured down before. And there, behind a row of apartments, was the most beautiful patch of wilderness I’ve ever seen in my hometown of Paterson, NJ. Right after this shot a family of deer wandered into my frame but my stupid phone froze and they vanished just as quickly as they appeared.

I was insanely disappointed at first about how I could’ve miss such a intimate photo but then a wave of calm washed over me. I had realized at that, that moment shared with the deer was just for me, to remind how interconnected our earthly worlds really are. And to appreciate the rare moments we share with animals on our planet.
