I came across these Afar women and wanted to share with you their strength and beauty. This photo was captured during a dance where Muslim girls from the Sultanate of Tadjoura, dress up in all their finery and display the curved daggers of their men.

In case anyone was curious about these people or their region, I did a quick google search and found this:

"Djibouti, small strategically located country on the northeast coast of the Horn of Africa. It is situated on the Bab el Mandeb Strait, which lies to the east and separates the Red Sea from the Gulf of Aden."
